About Tarrant County College - South Campus

Tarrant County College South Campus is a public community college campus at 5301 Campus Drive in Fort Worth, Texas. It opened in 1967 as the first location in the Tarrant County College District and serves more than 8,000 students in south Tarrant County. The district was established in 1965 and is accredited as a single institution by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). South Campus is the district's principal center for skilled trades and technical education, and most of these programs are taught here and nowhere else in the district. Credit offerings include Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in both commercial and residential tracks, Automotive Service Technology, Automotive Collision Repair, the Toyota Technician Education Network (T-TEN) program, Diesel Technician, Electrical Line Technician, Electrician Helper, Pipe Fitter, Construction Management Technology, Construction Inspection Technician, Architectural Technology, CADD and CNC machining, Industrial Technician, and Electronics Technology in robotics and automation and advanced energy. Welding Technology is offered at South and Northwest. The campus also offers Information Technology programs in network support, Cisco support, cybersecurity, programming, game and simulation design and web applications, business and accounting programs, the Medical Assistant certificate, transfer Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, and a 580-hour non-credit Massage Therapy program that exceeds the Texas 500-hour licensing minimum. Tuition is charged per semester credit hour, with in-district Tarrant County residents paying the lowest rate. Classes are offered days, evenings, online and in hybrid formats, and the campus houses the B.R. Johnson CTE Center.
