No. Schools cannot pay for inclusion or for ranking. The site is supported by display advertising, which is clearly labeled and visually separated from editorial listings. See our Editorial Policy for full details.
We start from the IPEDS Institutional Characteristics dataset and include U.S. institutions that offer at least one program in one of our covered trades. Each school is verified against IPEDS, an accreditor or state board, and the school’s own website before publication. See our Methodology page for the full process.
