Academy for Massage Therapy Training (AMTT)

The Academy for Massage Therapy Training (AMTT) is a Texas-licensed massage school (TDLR license MS0078) that has trained San Antonio massage therapists since becoming state-licensed in 1996. Its Park North campus at 602 NW Loop 410, Suite 122 — in the same location since 2008 — sits minutes from downtown, the medical center, Fort Sam Houston, and the airport. Three certificate tracks build on Texas's required 500-hour course of instruction: Fundamentals of Massage Therapy (500 hours), Massage Mastery (570 hours, adding hands-on training in high-demand services), and the 750-hour Advanced Clinical Mastery program. Day classes run 8:00-2:30 and evening classes 6:00-10:00, with completion typically taking 6 to 9 months. The school teaches its proprietary WorkSmart Method curriculum and prepares students for the state massage exam. AMTT is the longest VA-approved massage therapy school in San Antonio — approved for over 20 years, accepting GI Bill benefits and having helped more than 500 veterans and their dependents get licensed — and offers interest-free weekly payment plans with a $100 registration fee plus $199 for books and supplies.
