Lincoln College of Technology - Melrose Park

Lincoln College of Technology's Melrose Park campus traces its roots to the Greer College of Automotive Engineering, founded in Chicago in 1902, and joined the Lincoln Tech family in 1969. Today the 90,000-square-foot suburban campus — with sixteen auto bays, nine lifts, and dedicated welding, HVAC, and medical assistant labs — enrolled 1,539 students in fall 2024 across five program areas: automotive technology, electrical and electronics, HVAC, welding technology, and medical assisting. The electrician program is the campus's largest, with tuition and fees of $32,809 for 2024-25, and the school reports a 68% graduation rate for students who began in 2021-22. Employer partnerships include Tesla (whose START program pays students an hourly stipend while they train), Audi, Johnson Controls, and Mazda. The campus has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges since 1971 and is approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education's Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools.
