The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) Chicago campus is located at 3711 South Ashland Avenue on Chicago's South Side. The 137,992-square-foot facility includes a 32,000-square-foot hangar housing airframe and powerplant labs, welding and paint rooms, and an avionics laboratory. AIM is a private, for-profit career school accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and approved by the Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools of the Illinois Board of Higher Education. The campus is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration under Part 147 to operate an Aviation Maintenance Technician School. Its core offering is the Aviation Maintenance Technician certificate program, which runs about 21 months for full-time students and prepares graduates to test for FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
