Dallas College Cedar Valley Campus opened in the summer of 1977 in Lancaster, south of Dallas, as the fifth of the seven colleges that consolidated into Dallas College under a single SACSCOC accreditation in 2020. The campus covers 300 acres and serves 9,500-plus students. Cedar Valley is the system's home for Veterinary Technology, accredited by the AVMA since 1978; the program operates a 32,000-square-foot teaching facility plus a 170-acre stock farm with breeding herds of horses, cattle and goats, and reports a three-year VTNE pass rate of 64.6% for first-time candidates (Jan. 1, 2022 - Dec. 31, 2024). Skilled-trades offerings verified as delivered at this campus include Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology (HVAC), Automotive Technology including a diesel and heavy-equipment track, Plumbing Technology, Electrical Technology, Emergency Medical Services and Networking.
