Core Medical Training Center

Core Medical Training Center (CMTC) is a state-licensed postsecondary allied health training center headquartered at 818 Leighton Avenue, Suite A, in Anniston, Alabama, with an additional instructional site in Huntsville. The school offers short-term certificate programs in phlebotomy, EKG, surgical technology, dental assisting, pharmacy technology, billing and coding, and medical administrative assisting, plus a combined Multi Medical Assistant program that covers medical assistant, phlebotomy, and EKG technician skills. Published tuition ranges from $800 for the pharmacy technician program to $2,800 for the surgical technician and dental assistant programs. The Billing and Coding Specialist, Pharmacy Technician, and Medical Administrative Assistant programs are offered fully online, while clinical programs combine coursework with hands-on training in a hybrid format. Classes are kept to a 1:12 student-to-instructor ratio, and graduates sit for national certification exams through bodies including the NAHP and NHA. Admission requires a non-refundable registration fee, proof of immunizations, a TB skin test, a drug screen, and an orientation and school tour before classes begin. The school offers flexible payment plans and a partial scholarship for its Multi Medical Assistant program, limited to ten students per cohort, along with career support services such as resume assistance and interview coaching.
