Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Birmingham is a private, NACCAS-accredited beauty school located inside the Riverchase Galleria at 3200 Galleria Circle in Hoover, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. The campus is part of the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes network, which traces its Aveda-affiliated education model to 1982 and trains students using Aveda's naturally derived, naturally derived product lines. Three programs are offered: a 1,500-clock-hour Cosmetology program that full-time students typically complete in about 12 months; a 1,000-hour Esthiology program that usually takes about 9 months of full-time study; and an Instructor Training program that prepares licensed cosmetologists and estheticians for the state educator licensing examination.
