Pima Medical Institute - Seattle

Pima Medical Institute's Seattle campus has trained healthcare workers since 1989 from its location at 9709 Third Avenue N.E. in the Northgate area, just off I-5. PMI itself is an employee-owned, family-founded institution established in 1972 in Tucson by Richard and JoAnn Luebke, now spanning 16 campuses across the western United States plus online programs and more than 175,000 graduates. The Seattle campus offers certificate programs in medical assisting, dental assisting, sterile processing, and veterinary assisting (each around 9 months), plus associate-degree programs in veterinary technology, dental hygiene, physical therapist assisting, radiography, and surgical technology, taught in labs that use the same equipment found in hospitals and clinics. The campus enrolled 471 students in fall 2024 at a 24:1 student-instructor ratio, with a 91% retention rate and a 68% federal graduation rate. Medical assistant tuition and fees were $17,863 for 2024-25. PMI has been institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools since 1989, and career services support continues for alumni after graduation.
