It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and enrolls roughly 11,500 undergraduate students, all of whom commute; the college does not operate campus housing. OCCC organizes its associate degrees and certificates into five academic divisions: Arts, English and Humanities; Business and Information Technology; Health Professions; Science, Engineering and Mathematics; and Social Sciences. Its career and technical offerings are concentrated in health professions and information technology rather than the building trades. Health programs include an associate degree in registered nursing, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Sciences, Respiratory Care Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Surgical Technology and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, several of which carry programmatic accreditation and use selective admission. On the technical side the college offers Automotive Technology certificates and an associate degree, Computer-Aided Technology including architectural drafting and CAD, Computer Science, and certificates in computer systems networking and information systems security. Tuition and mandatory fees are set by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and are charged per credit hour, with a substantially lower resident rate. Classes run in day, evening, weekend, online and hybrid formats across fall, spring and summer terms, and the college maintains open admission with placement testing.
