Laney College is the largest of the four Peralta Community College District colleges (with Berkeley City, College of Alameda, and Merritt). The Building & Skilled Trades Pathway offers hands-on programs in Welding Technology (preparing for fabrication, structural, automotive, and aerospace careers), Carpentry, Machine Technology, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing. Laney also operates Registered Apprenticeship Programs with the Automotive and Machinist JAC of Northern California.
