AAA School of Trucking is a family-owned commercial driver training school founded in 1997 and now run by its second generation of owners. It operates two Pennsylvania campuses: the Philadelphia location at 442 E. Girard Avenue in the Fishtown neighborhood and a Harrisburg campus at 6003 Jonestown Road. The school is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools, registered as an FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) provider, and approved for VA education benefits; it also works with PA CareerLink and accepts WIOA, MyCAA, and Office of Vocational Rehabilitation funding. Training centers on three diploma programs: a 160-clock-hour Class A CDL course for tractor-trailer and combination vehicles, a 118-clock-hour Class B CDL course for straight trucks, and a 50-clock-hour CDL refresher for drivers with at least one year of prior experience. Hazmat endorsement training and private training and testing blocks for businesses and government agencies are also offered. New classes begin weekly with customized scheduling, and CDL skills testing is conducted on site. The school charges no application, graduation, or testing fees and offers in-house payment plans, including no-money-down financing. Job placement assistance is included with all programs, along with unlimited remedial training and retesting at no added cost; carrier US Xpress is among the employers that recruit its graduates. The school reports more than 20,000 graduates since opening.
